CERTAINTY of MISSION

I am preparing to head to Danville Kentucky tomorrow to attend an event of the Kentucky Entrepreneurial Coaches Institute.

I have been giving a lot of thought lately to what drives successful self made entrepreneurs. Most seem to have succeeded against great odds. They almost always give credit to their adversity for shaping their ultimate success. There's another trait that seems to be common among this exclusive group, and that is "Certainty of Mission". Missions tend to evolve as entrepreneurs shape and form their plans. While the core mission remains in tact, it is the certainty that serves them so well. That clarity must be larger than the fear of failure or the typical self imposed doubts that is common among most, whether entrepreneurial or not. They seem not to be concerned about what others think or say. That too must come from a "Certainty of Mission".

So, for those that aspire to be entrepreneurial, we must attain a "Certainty of Mission" that is big enough to carry us through the certainty of adversity, doubts and fears.
